I've been uploading bad photos of works in progress for this kids chapter book I've been working on, but I thought I'd show at least ONE final from it. Since so many people asked, I used Japanese Kuretake brush pens (markers) for the inking. They are my new favorites. You can get them at Jetpens.com. I then scanned in the artwork and added simple grey tones in Photoshop (limiting myself to only three greys- light, medium, and dark- plus the white of the paper and black). This is one of 12 illustrations, plus the cover. Whew, done just before Christmas! (and only two weeks late!) I will tell you what it is when it comes out.

I got a Kuretake brush pen a few months ago. It's my new favourite too, though I still need more practise. [link]
