Not all of these are 'favorites' of mine, but this is an example of a job we do for clients (or potential ones in this case) via our company Funnypages Productions. This came to us via a TV studio in Austria who was pitching Glock guns (also in Austria) for them to create a "How to use your new Glock" type film and they wanted to pitch the idea of having it "hosted" by an attractive animated female. I did up a bunch of different styles/ personalities for the "Glock Girl" and that's what you see here. They liked the pitch from what I hear, but someone told them the secret we try to keep quite: Live action is cheaper, quicker, and easier to do than animation. We got paid for this, but they won't be used. It happens.

I dig the girl at center stage.
Great characters! I love seeing variations of characters like this in their rough form. Really great to see the ideas and thought process as well as just a great character illustration.

The first one on the left would have been my pick. She looks cute, but still sassy and capable. Reminds me a little of Lara Croft in the face and hair, too.
Why do I look at this and think of Joe Camel?

Awesome ladies though...and they look like they're itching to be animated!

i had a similar thing happen to me a few years back. i did a character design for a housing firm back before the bubble burst. it was to be a blue kangaroo for some strange reason. i came up with a few, inked and ready then at the last minute just doodled something on the side as a quickie to make it an even set to choose from.... can probably guess which one they decided on. and thus, for a approximately a month's time in phoenix, every bus and mostly every busstop had a blue kangaroo waving back at me as the one i didn't want to draw :P

ah well, they paid the company. like you said, it happens.
"This is the handle, and this the thing you point at whatever you want to die...."

I can see that, just with a soft, breathy voice instead of Homer's.
