Sorry, I didn't post my Thurs and Friday LION KING WEEK Simba drawings. I went out of town to speak at a couple colleges in Wisconsin. It went well and was a lot of fun. At any rate, this is my Day 4 (would have been Thurs) drawing of Simba. This one is inspired by a scene I animated in the "Can't Wait to be King" sequence. It's where he says "Everybody Look Left...". I did the giraffe head in this scene also. This was the only scene in this song that I got to animate. I really wanted to do more of him in this song and would have been happy to do some of the incidental animals too since they were so well designed. In case you didn't know, the incredible Chris Sanders (look him up here on DA) designed the look of this song sequence and art directed it. It was all animated in Florida, but I was busy on another section of the film, so that's why I only did this one scene. It was sure fun!
