These were done as concepts for a finished piece for a client's daughter. One of those deals. So, gotta make it nice. The funny thing was was that I had been wanting to draw Ariel for weeks now and was just looking for the time to do it. Well, here ya go. This is pretty much my first time drawing her and it was a blast. Not totally on model, well, not Glen Keane model anyway. I ended up going with the top left one (coming out of the water), but didn't scan the final. It was just a sketch with colored pencils, so nothing spectacular. I like these sketches more.

im working on my painting skills through gimp 2.6 and your sketches here would be perfect practice. would it be alright if i took a couple and painted them. i would of course give you credit for the original concept and would link the original in my artist comment section.
