This is the LAST in the series of "what's on my walls" artwork that I have collected.
This one is a cheat, a bit, because its at home, not here at the studio like the others.
THIS IS THE ULTIMATE MULAN art jam piece! I jokingly tell my wife that if there's a fire, grab the kids because I'm gonna be getting this piece! (huh, now that I think of it, she's never laughed at that....) When I was working on MULAN (as the supervising animator of Mushu) I got the idea that I wanted to have a nice piece of art to remember the experience. So, I did a quick sketch on "pan paper" (a long piece of animation paper) to layout which character would go where and loosely what their size would be, then handed it to each supervising animator on the production- big characters and small. It took me a YEAR to get all the artists to draw their characters! Most of them even had the characters interact, which was fun to see happen. I even added my own drawing of Mushu to complete it.
I hope you can make out all of it and the signatures. This is it for the "On the Walls" series for now!
I love it! That's so awesome! And I love that you animated Mushu, he's one of my favorite Disney characters. Yeah, I'd want to save this thing from the fire, too.
