This is another watercolor painting I did (at the same time as the Ariel one I posted recently) for another close family friend. This WIP isn't the greatest because the first two pics are from my iPhone and I should have shown more steps. 1) I sketched Simba in light blue pencil on textured mango paper, 2) I started adding the water color as carefully as possible. I did cheat and did the orange body color with marker instead of watercolor because I couldn't find the right color, and 3) the finished version: after it dried, I went in with colored pencils to do the outlines which really crispens up the image.
