TECH TOT_ Sketch by tombancroft TECH TOT_ Sketch by tombancroft
Some drawings are like candy- you love every minute of it. Some drawings are like vitamins- you know its good for you and its a struggle the whole time. This was the latter.

Whew. Way out of my comfort zone.

Yeah, I sketch things out with a light blue (Col-Erase) pencil first, then I go over it with graphite.

Isn't it wonderful though, when you push yourself out of your comfort zone and wind up with something amazing? :D

I struggle with stuff like this too- I get too caught up with the technicalities and it ends up with no motion or life. This however is great. Love the running feet.

No, in all seriousness that is mind blowing. Extremely impressive considering this is "out of your comfort zone". :wow:

i like how awkward it turned out- it's very much the work of some kid with a lot of brains and no experience in design.

er, i mean no offense.

Considering the drawing is out of your comfort zone, telling people about your thoughts on the drawing as you made it could be interesting. :)

That is quite awesome! Well, even if it was out of your comfort zone, you totally rocked it! I'm curious, how many preliminary sketches did you have to do, to finally get you this great drawing? Or was it more just slowing down and really thinking of what you are drawing, while you were drawing it?

This was an all in one drawing. I just very roughly sketched out the overall shape, then kept adding in details.

Based on Odmo's comment you should have had this guy chasing a dino.

This would be me jealously wishing I even had a zone, much less a comfortable one. Sheesh!!

Great job!
