This is an oldie that I don't think I've ever posted here on DA. Its one of those rare times that I grabbed an ink pin and made something that I liked (without sketching first). I like the broad exaggeration teamed with the simplification of the design. Sounds deep, I know.
This is what Supes is all about! Great push in the form, Tom!
This is fantastic T! Love the fluidity and confidence here too. Straight ink is nice that way... it keeps the drawing loose and lively.
love it! such great form.
Man, it would be so cool if you could illustrate a DC comic (or any superhero comic!)
Sweet, this rocks. @
Yeah I love this one!
Ugh, your forms have such nice curves! You make it look so effortless!
I love how chunky he is.
it's always more fun doing a pic in pen
This is beautiful, Tom! I LOVE the exaggeration of form, along with the wonderful contours of the lines. You'd do well drawing sketch cards for Rittenhouse, man! Hell, you'd do well just drawing comics for the big two!
HA! Thanks. I think I'd like doing some sketchcards, I just don't know them or how all that works. I'm sure its not much money for the work, but it does sound fun. I do want to do something for the big two one day (that actually gets released, at least), its on my artistic bucketlist.
Yeah, admittedly there's not much up front pay for your cards. But you are given a certain amount of blanks as part of your payment, which you can take commissions on for as much as you want, and the money's all yours.
I love the volume you gave this, you really get the feel that there's so much MASS to that guy. Very cool.
I really like it..
