What I'm looking for:
Everything! Wolves, foxes, fennec foxes, ferrets, servals, bobcats, tigers, other big cats, small cats, deers, dragons, gryphons, dogs, birds, hybrids, original species.. bring it!
I'm leaving the details to your imagination, but here are some things I really like:
-White base color with black and red markings<33 (mostly on canines)
-Cute and fluffy things! No need to go all big eyes and oversized heads, but animals with fur. Creepy and slimy things just aren't my thing.. Still don't be afraid to make something dark/evil
-Anything tribal

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

I will be in Virginia Beach, VA this weekend (my lovely wife gets to come too). I will be a part of the Christian Broadcasting Network's 50th Anniversary celebration that is going on on Saturday. (I am the character designer/art director for the "Superbook" series they are producing . I will be presenting the show and doing some drawing for the audience.) I know its a long shot that any of you are going to be there, but I thought I'd throw it out there just in case. I'd love to meet some fellow DA artists!

A few weeks ago it was Kenosha, WI, now Virginia and later on its Costa Rica! I only do the obscure conventions and events, huh?

I didn't know it was you that was the character designer and art director for the Superbook series! I thought it was just a pilot episode or something? Well, at least this clears up why I got beat out, lol!! I "interviewed" w/John back in the summer of 2008 for a character design position for Superbook. Our meeting started as a portfolio review but turned into a job offer for background design. I accepted the offer but I was still in school full time so John had to pass and moved on to other very talented artists. I wanted character design but again, I can see why that position was already filled, lol!!!! All this time I was thinking, "Man. WHO got that position?!!" Could've just looked it up online somewhere I guess or been more thorough rooting around here on your DA page or what have you? But in the end finding out this way was more fun for some reason, lol!!!

I don't know what it is per Episode, but its not that much. They are putting a lot into it though, and that's a good thing!

I just remember hearing 1 million when they were taking about raising money for it on 700 club. Maybe he meant they needed that much for a seasons worth. I must have remembered wrong.
I did get to see some clips of it. It looks really good.
