I've been talking about this and thinking about it for quite awhile now and I'm excited to say that in one week I will launch what I hope will be a monthly LIVE workshop so that I can continue the drawing lessons/ thoughts/etc. that I started in both of my books: Creating Characters with Personality and Character Mentor! See the details below and hit this link www.charactermentorstudio.com/… to register! Tell your friends!
(PS. Since it is LIVE, I had to pick a time to do it that would benefit as many people as possible, I apologize in advance to my international fans if it is at a late hour for you. I hope you can still be a part of the discussion!)
WORKSHOP #1 is on
Thursday, July 26th, 8PM, CST
WHAT IS THE WORKSHOP: A low-cost online workshop with former Disney animator/character designer/author Tom Bancroft. The structure is casual but will include a short "lesson", live drawing by Bancroft, and a "mentorship" review/draw over of a pre-submitted sketch by someone from the audience. Also, you will be able to chat with me live so we will make sure that there is some question and answer time at the end. There may even be other surprises along the way!
WHEN: The goal is to do this once a month. We may even start up a subscription button down the road, but for now, it will be pay as you go. It will be in the evenings (CENTRAL TIME, 8pm) and go for roughly an hour and a half.
WHY: As I've mentioned in my newest book, "CHARACTER MENTOR, I believe that we artists learn best by SEEING experienced artists tackle the same challenges we face with pencil and paper. Mentorship is best when it is one- on–one between mentor and mentee, but my schedule makes that impossible for me. Thanks to the internet, we can get together as a group of artists and I can share my thoughts and experience with a group of you. My goal is that these workshops will become a "community learning" experience. As the workshops grow, my hope is that you will also learn from the other artists like you and the comments and suggestions you hear from them as well as from me.
HOW MUCH?: $10 paid through Paypal. Once you have paid, we will email you the link to access the live broadcast online.

Hi Tom - I only just found out about these classes and am interested but on going to register above it only takes me to the paypal for number 2 -- do we just need to wait for you to announce number three in a journal and then follow a new link to register individually each time?
