What are some of my, and my bro,  Tony Bancroft's, FAVORITE art instruction books?  (No, not our own books, though those are pretty swell.)  Check out the blog and throw in some favs of your own!

Where I went to high school, they taught a class called digital visualization. The teacher taught students how to use 3DSMAX the first year. In the 2nd year you had to learn a program yourself. So people learned how to use Mudbox, Maya, or something like that. Those 2 classes really changed my perception on art and the teacher who taught it was an inspiration. In senior year, the last day of Dig Viz 2, he gave me the The Animator's Survival Kit book. That was more than a year ago and I've been reading that book whenever I get the chance. I've read other books too, but that book impacted me more than anything.
