Wow, I just saw that I hit the 1500 mark of "watchers"!  That is very cool! (I guess I need to do more Wonder Woman's in color, huh?)  Thanks to you all for "watching" the stuff I put up.  All of your comments get read, even if I don't write comment back to you.

To celebrate, I'm going to do my first commision drawing for someone!  (I never do commisions and usually turn them down.)

Anyone that knows me knows I like to kill lots of birds with one stone/drawing/ etc.  SOOOO, I came up with an idea.  Here's the "birds" that made this all come together in my mind:  1) someone asked me if I would do a commision, 2) I wanted to do something special when I hit 1500 watchers, and 3) I want to do something to help raise money for my friend Tim Hodge's 17 year old son, MATT, who has been in a coma since the summer because of an auto accident.  (My brother, myself and a friend are also doing the www.helpthehodges.com art auction, so check that out too.)

Here's the "rules".  Add a comment to this journal that says what character you want and how much you'll pay for it.  (Please don't throw out a suggestion without a "bid".)  I will give this a few days and on Saturday night 8:00pm Central time, I will pick whomever is the highest bidder to do the drawing for.  It's that easy. One person, one commision, for the highest bidder.  All proceeds will go to Help The Hodges.  AND, yes, this is for original art that I will mail to you.   (Not some digital image I email, that's craziness.)

So you know what you are bidding on lets lay some ground rules: $10-30 is a sketch of a character (full body), above that and you'll get color, above a certain level (say $100) and your getting into multiple characters, backgrounds,- the works. I'll try and make sure you're happy, kay?  I guess I'll accept Paypal (though I'm not sure how you put that into my account) or check.  Drawing won't be sent until your check clears.

BUT, keep this in mind:  I will not do nudity or anything too "weird".  If I can't do the drawing and have my wife see it, then I won't do it.  Look at my gallery and you'll get an idea of the kind of stuff I do.  Also, If its a manga character or something else I may not have heard of, send a link or something to what they look like.

I hope this works and this is something you all are interested in.  Let's give it a try- and remember- its for a good cause!

Hi Tom,

Saw your message after I sent mine, so just in case, I'll reply to this one as well.

A tuxedo cat is mostly black with a white chest and stomach. Also, usually has white paws.

Here's a picture if I got the link right.

Hey Tom! I'm glad things have been going well for you. I'm sure the Hodges thank you, your brother, Chad Frye and anyone else with all there hearts. I wish I could've chiped in more for the auction. But if you don't mind doing a commission for the highest bid. Then I wouldn't mind paying for one of your drawings Tom.

If I had to choose. I think I would like a picture of you and Mushu. I think it seems fitting since your famous for creating him. I wouldn't mind a cartoonish caricature or realistic picture of you. The Media can be what ever your comfirtable with. But I would prefer seeing you from head to toe. And Mushu should have accurate height next to you. The picture can show either the two of you smiling, acting cool, working at your desk, or even Mushu just giving you a hard time! As I remember you telling me ounce. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! That's what Id like to commish.

I can only pay $100. I'm sure someone might easily top that though. If so, best of luck with the bid any way Tom!

That's an interesting idea and you're high bidder so far, so we'll see if I get the chance to do it! Thanks again! I'll let everyone know who "won" this weekend with a new Journal update!
